Who We Are

We’re just a bunch of members of Alder Park Sports Club who also enjoy playing golf, so we started up a social golf club aptly named the Alder Park Social Golfers.

Our President is Mr. William Mainey
Our Treasurer is Mr. Leonard Worgan
Our Handicapper is Mr. William Mainey

What We Do

We play a competitive social game of golf on a monthly basis at different courses around Newcastle and the Hunter Valley. Most of the time we play Stroke or Stableford with 3 grades (A, B, C) based on handicap, though from time to time we will play a team-based competition like Best Ball or Scramble.

How To Join

Firstly, you need to become a member of Alder Park Sports Club, their social membership is only $8.00 a year at the moment. After that, you can join us by paying our membership fee, currently $50 per season, at the first round you’re going to play, or in person to either our President or Treasurer. Our membership fee includes a polo shirt designed by our friends at Sports Clique that we wear each round, as well as when we do our weekly raffles at Alder Park Sports Club.

Every Thursday night we run a meat tray raffle at the Alder Park Sports Club, our meat trays are supplied from our awesome sponsor, Adam’s Family Meats in New Lambton.
